Excellent cover in bitter cold
I fish in cold, wet, snowy places and this hat keeps my head warm and dry, my ears warm and has become standard kit. I highly recommend this hat to those who frequent cold water/cold weather environments.

Finally
Was looking for a hat for a while. Saw a guy wearing the wool tech hat and asked where he got it. I ordered the hat and have it about 6 years. Nice fit, warm and like that it's crushable so it fits in my coat pocket. Only drawback are the flimsy ear covers but that's not a deal killer for me.

I have had this hat for the past 10 years. We have been through so much together. It has seen be in my coldest, most dreariest and darkest days and nights of winter. She is the best winter partner one can have. Even with all the wear and tear of many years of use, the loss of her feather, the permanent creases, dents, and folds, she still gets the compliments, attention and acknowledgement she deserves. She's the only winter hat for me.

Disappointed with the hat. It looks more substantial in the photo. It is too large, and much more expensive than it should be.
