At Tilley, our hats are designed to sit comfortably low on the head. The proper fit should be slightly loose, as gravity will keep your Tilley in place.
Step 1: Wrap a string around the widest part of your head, located 1 to 2 cm above the top of your ears and brow line.
Step 2: Determine the measurement with a ruler, then add 2 cm to the total, for comfort.
Step 3: Convert that final measurement into your hat size in the chart below.

I love this hat and measured precisely. However, I didn’t read the fine print to add 1-2 cm for ease of fit and so it was too small. I debated keeping it but knew the fit would bug me so I returned it. The return was pretty effortless and I appreciated the email telling me it was en route.
Will definitely order another.

Hat is very well made and fits perfectly.
The orange colour could be a bit more luminescent to qualify for "blaze orange".
Purchased this hat for walking the bush trails during the fall hunting season.
